Hello, dear ones, I hope this post finds you all doing well. Ordinarily I like to share a testimony on Wednesday, however I’d like to do something a little different today. Dr. Steve Lawson has done such a brilliant job of giving a Gospel presentation in the clip below that I wanted to share it with you. Todd Friel is correct, we should be ready to share the truth of God’s saving grace! I hope this will be a blessing to you, as it certainly was to me. Have you shared the Gospel recently, if so I’d love to hear about it in the comments below. As always, beloved brethren, be good Berean’s and study to show yourself approved.
A while back I was witnessing to an atheist who had come out of a cult. His entire family were members of this cult, and due to its Christian lingo he believed that he had left the true church. He told me he was once a Christian but now he knew there was no God. It got me thinking of all the ways humanity deceives itself, in an effort to avoid responsibility for sin. False doctrines, and cults, are very dangerous which is why, beloved, I write about them on Tuesdays. There’s something that is just as dangerous, if not more so, and that is false conversions.
I was a false convert, as most of you know. I spent over a decade in church believing I was a Christian. I never once heard the Gospel, I was never told to repent, I was never even given reasons why I needed a savior. The man centered preaching I listened to everyday bolstered my belief that I had saved myself by saying a prayer when I was 14. This is why I love to post testimonies on Wednesday’s of true conversions, so others who might be deceived like I was can see the difference. If you have a testimony you’d like to share, I’d love to post it!
