The Association of Related Churches. If you haven’t heard of A.R.C. don’t worry you’re not alone, I hadn’t either. This extremely pervasive and dangerous pyramid scheme has swept not just the country, but the globe. With a strange mixture of WoF, Charismatic, New Age, and Prosperity Gospel, this group is planting churches using the most successful seeker driven models to date. What happens when false teaching is pointed out to a church inside this coalition will leave you speechless. Using tactics rarely seen outside of the most organized cults, push back is shut down through aggressive, manipulative, shaming, shunning, and slander. I’m so thankful that Kristin was bold enough to join me on this first part of a two-part series. In part two we take a deep dive into total depravity, as Kristin walks us through what happened to her family after she left. The tactics used to confuse and silence her concerns while she was in the church become far more concerning once she has left but isn’t willing to stay quiet about false teaching.
