Hello dear ones, I hope this post finds you all doing well! Today’s episode is a different kind of show, I wanted to lighten things up and give you all a look inside the podcast. How I record, what it looks like, what programs I use, and how it all comes together, along with some actual behind the scenes footage filmed by my darling husband. If you’ve ever wondered what exactly goes into the creation of a Tulips and Honey episode, this is all of that and more rolled into one short video. I hope it’s encouraging, and entertaining, after last weeks difficult episode! Don’t miss the blooper reel at the end, it’s a fun one!
Also, if you didn’t get a chance to see last weeks MEGA list, I’m going to link to it here. You can, of course, listen across all major podcasting platforms such as Podbean, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, and in video form on Youtube. I’ve gone ahead and included a podcast player below so that you can listen in right here on the blog, isn’t technology fun? As always, beloved brethren, be good Berean’s and study to show yourselves approved.
Hello dear ones, I hope this post finds you all doing well! First, before I do anything else, I want to wish my incredible husband a happy anniversary! Today we celebrate 13 years of marriage, and it’s excited to say that I’m so much more in love with him now than I was when we first married. God graciously gave me far more than I could ever deserve the day He allowed me to meet this wonderful man!
Today is Friday, and that means I’ll be going live this afternoon on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. Technology is so fun…sometimes…ok just when it actually works the way it’s supposed to. Hopefully, that will be today’s experience. I’m excited about today’s live event because I have some exciting news about next week! Brook Bartz first every podcast episode will be dropping, Lord willing, on Wednesday! Keep an eye out for it, or subscribe to her YouTube channel, her new podcast is going to be called Open Hearts. I’m also excited to share who won last weeks t-shirt giveaway. I love doing giveaways, it’s one of my favorite parts about having social media.
So, what’s coming up on Monday’s episode? Well, I am deeply disturbed by something a follower on Instagram sent me. It was regarding a movement called CDD, or Christian Domestic Discipline. Never heard of it? Neither had I. In fact, I thought it was satire. It is, unfortunately, not a joke, but a very unbiblical movement where husbands physically punish their wives when they sin. Obviously, I felt this needed some attention as I was made aware of this within the Reformed circles…and of course found out that it was being promoted by certain Duggar children. Monday is going to be a difficult episode, and I would greatly appreciate your prayers.
What about some recommendations? Glad you asked, let’s cheer up the mood a bit shall we? These masks are hilarious! I’ll be honest, I was hoping not to need a mask any longer, but for just $15 you can wear something that might actually make you smile. You know, instead of the dread we all feel when we put the mask on and pretend not to be hyperventilating as we walk through Walmart. Just me? Personally, if we all have to wear the masks, couldn’t we at least get these mega chain stores to crank the AC a bit? I also want to recommend the podcast Women’s Hope, a podcast of The Master’s University. Brooke Bartz first pointed it out to me, and it’s been such a blessing! If you’re looking for a podcast with some theologically sound ladies, this is a great choice. My last recommendation is Justin Peter’s new series on misinterpreted Scriptures, hilariously titled Inigo Montoya Series. I’m very excited about this, JP has been doing a fantastic job creating entertaining and edifying content on YouTube!
Blogger Highlight: I’d like to continue highlighting a blogger on each MEGA list and this week I wanted to point everyone to my dear brother-in-Christ Pastor Jimmy, writer of the Veritas Domain blog. This brother does such a great job daily writing Biblically sound content, informing us on all types of issues, growing our knowledge in Scripture, and graciously refuting falsehood.
Prayer Requests: Lauren Bronner, writer of the Redeemed Mama Saved By Grace blog and author of Freedom from Anxiety, has fallen very ill. Please join me in praying for her, and her sweet family. As always, beloved brethren, be good Bereans and study to show yourselves approved.
Hello again, dear ones, I hope this post finds you all doing well! It’s Monday, and that means I (finally) have a new podcast episode dropped and ready for you. Last week was more difficult than I expected it to be, honestly. I thought once I was over the worst of the virus I would get back to going none stop. Unfortunately, COVID is like the gift that keeps giving. As I sit here typing this, I still have yet to recover my sense of smell. I don’t even know how that’s possible, I still have some sniffles but not nearly severe enough to prohibit smell. This virus is so bizarre. The most difficult thing for me, at this point, is the fatigue that comes back suddenly. One minute I’ll be feeling fine and dandy, then BOOM time for a nap. I don’t have time for naps, but my smell-less immune system doesn’t care. Hopefully this week will be an improvement, as far as writing and podcasting goes. For sure, I have today’s episode and it is one that I’m really excited about!
I had the privilege of being joined by two brothers-in-Christ and fellow podcasters, Joseph Knowels and Rueben Rosalez from the Church History Matter’s podcast! It was the first recording I did after getting sick, so I was still a little foggy headed. They were very gracious, and patient, so this should be a fun, educational, and encouraging episode minus the overly excited host. Sorry! I had no idea how much I missed podcasting until I was forced to take a break from it. Joseph, Rueben, and I sat down to discuss the importance of Church History, their testimonies, why they decided to podcast about this topic, what their favorite stories are, and even Eschatology. I had a blast talking to them, and I learned a lot that I didn’t know! I hope you will too, don’t forget if you’re watching on YouTube to stick around for the blooper’s reel at the end. It’s my favorite part of the editing process. Below I’ve included a timestamped outline of the episode, as well as some links to find the Church History Matter’s podcast. You can, of course, listen across all major podcasting platforms such as Podbean, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, and in video form on Youtube. As always, beloved brethren, be good Berean’s and study to show yourselves approved.
Today I had the joy of being joined on the program by The_Clever_Decorator, Jasmin Davis herself! Jasmin will be one of the breakout session speakers in the upcoming Open Hearts in a Closed World Women’s Conference. In this interview she shares her testimony, parenting and homeschooling tips, plus the way she decorates her home on a budget! She also gives us the inside scoop on what she’s addressing at the conference. You can find Jasmin on Instagram @the_clever_decorator.
The conference will be completely free, with CityALight doing the worship music, and main speakers including Susan Heck, Michelle Lesley, and Brooke Bartz! It will be live streamed on YouTube, FB, and IGTV and can be projected into your church if you’d like your women’s ministry to join in. I can’t wait for Jasmin’s breakout session, and I’m so thankful for her time on the program. You can, of course, listen across all major podcasting platforms such as Podbean, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, and in video form on Youtube. As always, beloved brethren, be good Berean’s and study to show yourselves approved.
Today’s episode is one of those interviews that I recommend tissues for. And a notepad and pen!
Hello, dear ones! I hope this post finds you all doing well. Today’s episode is one of those interviews that I recommend tissues for. And a notepad and pen! Erin Coates joined me and tells how God graciously saved her from drugs, partying, and abortion. She now directs the women’s ministry at her church as a pastors wife and a homeschooling mom. She has a heart and passion for the truth of Gods Word to be taught to women! After watching how the women’s ministry was done at Grace during her husbands time in The Masters Seminary, she had a good foundation for how to grow women in Biblical maturity. Don’t forget to mark your calendars because Erin will be a featured speaker at Brooke Bartz free online Women’s Conference Open Hearts in a Lost World July 13th thru the 17th 9:30 CST, with worship done by CityALight.
There were some really fun, light hearted moments that I was able to get for the blooper reel at the end, so don’t miss it. I don’t usually ask this, but if you know someone who has had an abortion, is considering an abortion, or works at the abortion mill and could use some encouragement, please share this episode with them. Below is a timestamped outline in case you’d like to zip through this episode, as well as the links to Erin’s social media so you can follow her ministry. You can, of course, listen across all major podcasting platforms such as Podbean, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, and in video form on Youtube. As always, beloved brethren, be good Berean’s and study to show yourselves approved.

Hello, dear ones! Today I actually have three video’s for you, which means last week was a busy week on my YouTube channel with some exciting news. Doreen Virtue invited me to co-host an interview with her! We interviewed Grace to You’s Phil Johnson, and he did a fantastic job explaining the Mark of the Beast in light of the numerous conspiracy theories surrounding the COVID vaccine. I also went live on Friday with Rikki LeGrand, and of course today’s cross-over episode with Cave to the Cross Apologetics! Since Saturday’s bonus episode with Doreen and Phil was such a heavy topic, Patrick and I totally kept today’s episode light. Just kidding, we actually tackled a very difficult subject.
Today I was blessed to have Patrick back for another cross over, discussing Romans 13. Currently, we’re all discussing the governments roll in shutting down churches while the pandemic continued. There are so many things that have to be addressed, but they should ALL be addressed Biblically. Patrick explains Romans 13 giving the full context, and applying it to our own reaction to governments. You can, of course, listen across all major podcasting platforms such as Podbean, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, and in video form on Youtube. I also now have a Patreon page, which you can find here https://www.patreon.com/Tulipshoneyhub.
On Friday Rikki LeGrand was kind enough to join me for a live stream, where we discussed recommendations, updates, and my husbands uncle who sadly passed away last week due to COVID. There’s a tribute to him in the live feed, which I hope shows the love he had for his wife of 53 years. I knew it was going to be a hard thing to discuss, but Rikki was such a huge help as were all the listeners in the comments. I appreciate everyone who has been praying for my husband and his family. It’s such a blessing to know that our brother and sisters in Christ stand with us during this. You can watch that video here.
On Saturday I had the privilege of joining Doreen Virtue, as I mentioned previously, to interview Phil Johnson. It was such a neat conversation, and Phil did a great job clearing up a lot of the confusion surrounding eschatology. I also appreciated his explanation of why he avoids the passionate fights many find themselves in when it comes to end times. The focus of the interview centered around a theory that the government is going to force us to get the COVID vaccine, which will somehow double as the Mark of the Beast. You can watch this episode here. As always, beloved brethren, be good Berean’s and study to show yourselves approved.
Today, dear ones, we’re very excited to have the privilege of holding our first ever live panel discussion on Tulips & Honey! Joining us this afternoon to discuss church and evangelism during social distancing is Justin Peters, Susan Heck, Dawain Atkinson, Doreen Virtue, and Phil Johnson! We’re so honored to have each of these dear brothers and sisters-in-Christ joining us. If you follow us on Facebook, you’ll be able to watch live and ask questions there. If you prefer Youtube, you can head straight to the event by following the link below. Be sure to subscribe so that you don’t miss any future events. Next Monday we’ll be dropping an episode interviewing our brothers-in-Christ from the RazaReforma Podcast, it was such a blessing to hear their testimony and see how God led them to where they are today. If you missed it, this past Tuesday The Aquila and Priscilla Hour released an episode about Pragmatism in the church and today The Chuck and Lo Show dropped an interview with Be A Berean’s Michael Coughlin. Don’t miss Emma’s newest episode tomorrow continuing in her series on glorifying God over on Always, Only.
For our MEGA List today we had some help from our wonderful Humblebee’s that sent us great recommendations. Starting with Jan who recommended this homemakers Facebook group here. Luke Schmeltzer, host of Steady Anchor Podcast, recommended the free Ligonier series which will be available all summer, as well as these resources here. He’s also just released a new episode titled “Christ and Corona” which I highly recommend. As I mentioned above, Michael Coughlin is joining Chuck and Lo today, but you can also find him on his blog, or hear him refuting atheists on his podcast here. Our honorary BrotherBee, Patrick Studabaker, from Cave To The Cross Apologetics has a great video editing and website design business, a talent he uses to not only bring us great content on his own podcast, but also to bless churches. If that is something you have a need of, or you just want to support our brother-in-Christ, check it out Manos Media LLC. If you’ve tuned in to the latest Aquila and Pricila Hour you heard Emily and Zack discussing a helpful article by Tim Challies, which she recommended and you can find here. I also want to slip in a shout out to her and Zack for creating a brand new website which you can find here! Doesn’t it look great? Well done y’all! Last recommendation was added by Becca herself! She found a devotional on the Youversion app created by one of our BrotherBee’s, Joel, who has been so very encouraging to us from the start! Fear in the Time of Coronavirus is available here. Thank you to all our listeners who sent us these helpful links, you’re all such a blessing to us! I hope you’re all able to tune in today at 1:30 CST for the live panel, please pray that all goes well with technology! As always, beloved brethren, be good Berean’s and study to show yourselves approved.
Becca and I had the honor of being interviewed by Dawain Atkinson on The B.A.R. Podcast. I was a lot more nervous to be interviewed then I am when I’m interviewing, so it was fascinating to be on the other side. Dawain has been such an encouragement to us, and I can’t thank him enough for all his kindness and support. You can find both of our episodes right here: http://thebarpodcast.com or follow The B.A.R. Podcast on any major podcasting platform. Both of us had the opportunity to share our testimonies, and the background of how we ended up podcasting. I pray that the Lord will use our testimonies to encourage and edify believers, and prick the conscious of the lost leading them to Gods Word, and the truth of the cross.
During such an anxious time, we thought it would be helpful to have a little fun and bring a little bit of laughter to your day. We all hope that this small bit of entertainment in the middle of all the news reports will be a blessing. Below is an outline of the episode, without timestamps to give a little intrigue. I’ve also included a link to Friday’s Mega list, and below it the outline for that as well. Below that is a link to a live group chat we had on Facebook with a few other podcasters. We talked about a lot of things, and hope to do this again soon. I hope that these videos will be an encouragement to anyone who is having to self quarantine. You can, of course, listen across all major podcasting platforms such as Podbean, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, and in video form on Youtube. We also now have a Patreon page, which you can find here https://www.patreon.com/Tulipshoneyhub. As always, beloved brethren, be good Berean’s and study to show yourselves approved.
Hello! I hope this post finds you all doing well. I’m so excited to share today’s episode with you all. We had the privilege of interviewing the famous interviewer himself, Dawain Atkinson from The B.A.R. Podcast! It was fun to get the chance to ask him his own select questions, his testimony was as fascinating as it was moving, the advice he gave for other podcasters was so helpful, and his encouragement to us was humbling. We hope that this episode will be as edifying for you all as it was for us. Don’t forget to check out the bloopers at the end of this episode, and just to make sure you’re as excited for those as we are, there’s an extra fun graphic at the end of this post that I hope makes your day a little happier.
A quick note about our apparel shop, we are having to switch platforms. If you’ve ordered anything from Inktale it will still be heading your way, the entire website announced they’d be shutting down. We’re now using Spreadshirt, and a link for that is at the bottom. Not all of our options have been transferred over, but we’re working on it. Below is a time stamped outline, that we hope will be helpful for anyone who wants to skip through the episode to certain points.
Both Lauren and Becca were on the Bar Network with Dawain
