Twisted Tuesday – Jesus Sinless?

Beloved, have you ever been told that Jesus couldn’t have lived a sinless life? Many in the liberal churches like to say that Christ Jesus was just a good man, living as an example for us all, not the sinless, perfect, God incarnate. For this they sometimes twist Matthew 3:13-15, claiming that Jesus was baptized because He had sinned.

What is the real reason Christ was baptized? Jesus Christ is our high priest after the order of Melchizedek. We’re told in Exodus 29 and Leviticus 8 that the priests were washed with purifying waters. Christ’s baptism was, as He Himself said, a fulfillment of all righteousness. It in no way suggests Christ had sinned, as a matter of fact the Bible tells us repeatedly that Jesus was sinless.

It’s so easy for the world to misinterpret, or take out of context, the Word of God. This is why I implore you daily, dear ones, to be good Berean’s and study to show yourselves approved. The attacks against God’s Word, and Gods Son, are not new. These are rehashed by each generation, which means we have generations of men and women who stood firm on the authority of the Bible, on Sola Scriptura. Let us link hands with them, with those who stood where we now stand, and remain securely set on the truth of God’s Word. He says what He means, and means what He says. Christ did live a sinless life, He did become our great and high priest, dying as the final sacrifice in place of us, baring the wrath we stored up in our sins. Jesus Christ, therefore, is not a savior, not a king, not a way or a truth. No. He is the Savior. He is the King. He is theonly way, the truth. No one comes to the Father but through Him.

Let us work through our salvation through fear and trembling, examining ourselves to see whether or not we are in the faith. Which one of us wants to hear on the day of judgement, ‘depart from me you workers of iniquity for I never knew you’? We all long to hear ‘well done, good and faithful servant’. Recognize, beloved friends, we can not save ourselves. Salvation is through faith in Christ alone, by the grace of God alone, that none shall boast. Repent of your sins, cry out to God, flee from the wrath to come.

  1. It had to be sinless, to then die for our sin and fully, completely deal our sin once and for all. What Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch as I !!

    1. Amen, my friend! The rejection of Christ’s sinless life is essentially a rejection of His death on our behalf. This is why it’s so important to rightly divide the Word of God. You hit the nail on the head, this truly is Amazing Grace, why would anyone want to reject that? Because they love their sin, and hate moral responsibility. How sad that many remain chained to their sin, instead of putting their faith in Christ alone, for he who the Son sets free is free indeed! God bless you!
