A Woman Rides the Beast, by Dave Hunt, was published in 1994. I’m breaking from the norm here by reviewing such a modern book. However, I think perhaps this book deserves to be looked at.
It’s a fascinating look through the history of the church from the perspective of the end times. If you are concerned at all with eschatology then this is a good book to read, or even to pair with Newton’s book which I reviewed here.
Unlike all the other Christian books I reviewed so far, this book is going to be a little more costly. It’s also much more recent than the books I ordinarily review, though not so recent that critics have not had time to read, and argue a case against it. One of the reasons I appreciate older books when it comes to theology at least is that there has been ample time to refute them.
I recommend this book, as it is very well documented and the topic has been well researched by the author, to anyone studying church history or eschatology.
